    ... about 8 miles away). We caught the bus for the bargain price of 3 euro each return and had a great day wandering through all the old streets and around the harbour area checking out all the yatchs and dodging the downpours.

    Spent the evening catching up with all the family on facetime which was so lovely then an early night as we are on the road again tomorrow......

    Back at hotel base we looked for a place for dinner in the area, nut it was Sunday, and mostly anything other than a bar was closed. We had to settle for a warmed slice of quiche and a beer at a bar in Pont Aven. No plate or cutlery, just the quiche on a piece of aluminum foil!
    So if you are planning to travel to small towns in France (and perhaps Europe) most restaurants will be closed on Sunday and Monday.

    ... For me 7 layer chocolate fudge cake; Christopher had the "Hamburger" which was an almond bun (think macaron) filled with a fudgy “patty” topped with a thin marzipan “cheese” – his was quite inventive and tasty….but we ALL know I won!

    Dinner was rather late (9 pm) so we both were exhausted and rolled out of the dining room (not having finished everything…how could we?). ...
