Wettest day so far. Only 13 miles but felt a lot longer. These Alps are not flat. And when you get a railway, a river, a major road and a footpath all trying to get through a gorge the easiest way is to send the footpath all over the place. Made for some interesting locations. Every now and then my rucksack threatened to give me more momentum at a tricky spot than I really wanted. Still, all safely negotiated and in truth I think the books were being a little ...
... as it gives me a chance to get my washing dry. Usually when camping in the wet there is just no way to get anything dried out. Had a Thai meal tonight. Not much choice as its a Sunday. Not bad. Despite there being places to buy food I couldn't buy anything. Managed on 2 mars ...

other room is empty so we basically have our own kitchen, computer
and bathroom for at least tonight. Overall this will be a very
comfortable and relaxing beginning to the trip. As we will be
sleeping in quad bunks for the foreseeable future after this, we plan
on enjoying it.
I will try to keep you posted as much
as possible as we enjoy la dolce vida in Tuscany. Until next
