... find that, not only did I speak those 2 languages, but also Dutch, but it was quite difficult, when my head was still moving away from the German of the previous week, to argue with a taxi driver in Spanish, while I spoke to another man on the phone in English and these men in Dutch about the appropriate fare for the trip to the Moroccan ferry! Once I finally got everything sorted for them, I hurried to the bus stop to find that the bus to Marbella had just left, and the next was ...
Genk, Limburg, Belgium emmavDuring our stay in Spa we had the most scary, horrible, unpleasant experience ever in a restaurant.

The restaurant to avoid is "Le Bouchon Gourmand", the owner does not hesitate to insult customers, lock them into the restaurant if there is a dispute on the bill, and claim more money than is due.

See more on www.bouchon-gourmand.blogspot.com
Spa, The Ardennes, Belgium un_belge... take me so we can move the mattress in. I am probably going to have to move the rest of my stuff with the bus tomorrow, but it should be ok. I only have class until 1pm, so I will have the rest of the afternoon free. Tomorrow I need to figure out internet for the new place, move in, and hang up my proofreading flyers.

When I left this morning, I knew that I had tons of stuff to do, and I also just knew that none of it would work ...

Aachen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany jrsours... They told us we were at the highest point in Belgium, which was somewhere in the Nature Park.

We decided to call it a day for the roadbook, and make a detour to just get into Luxembourg for fuel, and to make sure we 'did' all the countries.

Looking back that detour cost us some time, but did mean we visited Luxembourg, even if it was too dark to see it.
Eupen, The Ardennes, Belgium dirtyweekenders... on.

We stopped at one point, because the roadbook wasn't very clear, at which point Gaz and Charlotte came up behind us. They had been left behind by the V8s, as they were in a Series vehicle, so we said we'd stick with them.
At this point, Kieran noticed a strange noise from our engine, which was duly investigated by James. It was diagnosed as the fan belt tensioning pulley. But we didn't do anything about it at the time.
Elsloo, Limburg, Netherlands dirtyweekenders... down the road from Neuville-en-Condroz, one of the major US WWII military cemeteries in Europe. Over 5300 US servicemen are buried here, many of them from the Battle of the Bulge which happened through this region in December 1944-January 1945. There is another US cemetery with over 7000 graves just 20 miles East of Liège. Much blood has been shed in this area, in many wars. I had a very pleasant visit with ...
Liège, Belgium joelmeeker... I have never been to France. There wasn't really much of a plan for us, we were just kind of set loose in the city and told to meet back at a certain time. For awhile we just roamed around and found stuff. Eventually we got hungry and we managed to find a cheap, good lunch at a Turkish restaurant, which was something new to me. After eating, we walked around some more and we ran into the big cathedral in ...
Liège, Belgium jnl5002(Originally published at http://www.troysgonewalkabout.com)
< br>The slight morning drizzle did not hamper us from exploring the centre of Maastricht, and it felt nice to be amongst the local goings-on in the busy market square. But, although we were enjoying being in the midst of life on the other side of the world from where we were born and raised, Amber and I soon got a surprise reminder of home. In a park on ...
Maastricht, Limburg, Netherlands troywilkinson... expect to find within...plus an ice hotel and an ice bar where shots of vodka are served in ice-glasses. It was the perfect start to 2004, especially when snow started falling on New Year's Day. It was a bit late for a white Christmas, but appreciated nevertheless! Then I was whisked off to the airport by Celine's mum in her sexy, brand new Audi TT (with individually-controlled heated leather seats - heaven!)... ahhhh, Belgium, that's the life!
