headed straight for the beach. The beach lies at the bottom of tall chalk
cliffs that lead down onto a pebble beach. The tide was out and the open sand
between the pebbles and the sea was at least 300 meters wide. The tidal flow in
the area is quite large with a spring tide difference of more than 9 meters
between high and low tides.

Normally we make an early morning trip but at the height of the season that's hard to book, so today we took an evening trip.
