... kill before the show starts. So after a quick coffee, we arrive and take our seats, not sure of what to expect. The show is in German, so I understand little parts and Jonny even less, but the music is fantastic – there are around 20 songs crammed into the show, some in English and some in German, and the performers are amazing. ... her only downside was the busy traffic blocking her arteries. We got into Victoria coach station with 3 minutes to spare. We both agreed that we'd never seen it so busy there and thought us lucky to get onto our bus. Then we got stuck getting out of Victoria and once we'd hit the main roads we were told that we were running 20 minutes late and that the driver would try to make up some time. ... a real triumph.

The neighbours we are staying with Jan and Monica have three sons and now five grand children. The eldest, Thijs, I got to know very well and he and I spent many a happy hour digging in his sand pit. The first English word he learnt was 'horrible' my reaction to him eating spoonfuls of sand, he's now ten and a lovely boy. We had supper in the garden with the whole family, great fun.

... justice, so we’ll do that tomorrow. We did however, traverse some of cliffs. Very impressive and stunningly beautiful. It wasn’t the warmest day but we had such a marvellous time, it didn’t matter. We only felt actually cold once, and although fresh, it was not an obstacle in the slightest to our levels of enjoyment.
