          ... of the longer stays.

We took a walk into the local village, Capmany, this morning, found the cafè/bar and got an ice cream and found the deli and got lunch, a nice walk around the narrow streets before we headed back to the site. After lunch we had a game of pétanque and chilled out in the sun. This evening we will pack up ready for our move tomorrow for the first of our longer stays.

... down on a suspension bridge for the train as it winds its way down the mountain over stone bridges and through tunnels. Finally we are down and we hit 60 kph it seems like jet propelled compared with the first 28km, luckily for those behind there are passing places every so often. We are roughly heading towards Narbonne and we pull into a great site facing the Mediterranean sea and its 21c. We take Tess for a walk to the sea shore and let her have a paddle, ...

Today, October 18th we walked into Collioure through the town and enjoyed the market, very colourful, a coffee on the sea front and a wander through the steep town enjoying the art on display. Reminiscent of Chefchaouen in Morocco but not entirely blue. Now we are getting to know the place then worth a return another ...

From Girona we took a secondary road to Figueres, through pleasant farming country with views of some of the smaller Pyrenees outliers. Figueres is the birthplace of artist Salvador Dali and the place where he established his famous theatre museum. He set this up between 1961-74 in a series of grand buildings that had been semi-ruined in the Civil War. It was amazing to turn into the street and see the main big pink ...

... used here in walls, roads and houses is amazing, and some so very old , so much work! ,
We saw older cyclists, hikers and Harley bikers near the lighthouse before heading up the mountain and through the 18 roundabouts on our way to Nice! Only 580klms - great roads and maybe stop of at Nimes in France to see the famous Aqueduct I saw 40 years ago if I see a sign off the tollway! Calideques has been a very interesting less than 24 hour visit!!
