More explorations of the city!

... after a church is the reason for death by being crushed to death... That would probably make me doubt it a bit! Now they built more foundation into the ground so hopefully I won't be the next victim. A little jaunt down from the basilica is a roman amphitheater still intact!! They actually have a bunch of concerts put on there in the summer! It's amazing because anything remotely "old" in the states is totally roped off but here you can climb all over it and it's still in use! AND ...

The Festive Season/Winter Solstice

But he said if anything ...

It's odd that this is the first time I've really thought about it. I guess I've been so busy rushing around, working and putting up with house dramas, that I haven't really sat down and thought about how I feel. It's bittersweet. Bitter because it's over. Sweet because it happened. Anyway, I ...

Day three in Lyon

A travel blog entry by jrpeacock

We treated ourselves to a proper French cafe breakfast. A croissant, French bread, orange juice, hot drink and jams on a busy street in the warm morning sun. All for only €5 each! Great when you consider that we spent €5 on just hot drinks the day before! We had to move to a different hostel today so we packed up and checked out. Not before visiting the local market across the street to pick up some dinner. Our new hostel was ...
