Graham is trying to become a local. Hang the arm out the window, be on the mobile, have a cigarette and change gears whilst driving down the mountain track.
It took us about 4 hours to travel 40 kms. We did stop for coffee, and Graham was grateful I wantrd to do a wee because just after we stopped a truck full of sheep went passed.
Ajaccio, Corsica was not on our original cruise itinerary, but was added when Holland America decided that it was not safe to make port calls in Egypt and cancelled our stop in Sharm El Sheik. We arrived at about 8:00 AM and it was mostly cloudy and cool – in the 50's. The prediction was for highs in the low 60’s and partly cloudy. Tonight is the last night in Corsica. What a wonderful reunion (and introduction) it has been with the Angonno's. ... pretty beach town. We arrived and realized they were having a fair. What serendipity! We enjoyed seeing the various carnival rides and vendors. And it was eye-opening to experience an outside perspective on America -- check out my photo of the Team USA ride. Yikes. We then found a lovely little restaurant and sat waterside. Like, toes in the sand by the side of the water.
