... that flamingos were native to France, but they are! Brian thought they would have all migrated by now, but I was able to catch a glimpse of a few!
But finally we arrived. Taking the first side road we could that wasn’t waay out of the way we went directly to the water to sit ourselves down on the Med and have a picnic. Beautiful! And we had it all to ourselves with just a few locals going for their mid-day walk or run. Now ...
... Around 3 am we decided to call it a night (I know, grandpa JerBear going home early, right?). I go back to my barren apartment (more like my cloister) and go to bed.
Overall, it was really nice to spend the week on my own, in a big city, with people that I knew. I felt very independent and I am going to miss it. But I can't complain, as I am leaving for India in a week. Next time you hear from me, I'll be a true Indian raggamuffin.
What a waste of a day...
Go to Nimes and the national parks people said..... we ended up at a campsite way out of Montpellier and the highlight of our day had been the supermarket!!!!
The national park was lots of farm type marsh land... not what we had imagined. Nimes seemed pretty and lots of well preserved Roman things but the traffic was a nightmare and too hard to park so we kept driving with a plan to go out in Montpellier that ...
... people. I have met so many people that have touched me emotionally, intellectually, or just made me laugh very hard. Out of the people I have met, only few I can call real friends that I would like to see again. Now, however, I have contacts in San Diego, Germany, Montana, Montreal, England, and Australia. All these people have extended an invitation to stay with them if I am ever in the area.
What I also ...
... at all times. I had a great time and made friends with a few of the team members.
While looking on the metro map I also met to other lyonians and while wating for the bus another person. I made myself a ton of new friends in one night! It was so exciting. I got home where I was happy to have arrived. It felt good to be back. Julie was asleep and the parents next door partying with the neighbors. I ...
... Lamalou-les-Bains was a small town off the main road which advertised at its turn off all manner of activities such as swimming, canoeing, climbing, hiking, tennis and many hotels. We had not travelled far that day but we were not far away from Felines. Unlike many other French towns Lamalou was set in a valley along a dry river bed not on the side of a hill. [I should imagine that it was a fast running stream before November but I really think they should cross off the ...

Stephanie woke me early so after breakfast she paid up and we hitched up and set off. We arrived at Marseillan Plagé just after lunch we are at Le Charlemagne (a Yelloh site). Site is large and twinned with another across the road (Nouvelle Floride). Pitches are sandy, surrounded by a hedge some are strange shapes. Electric is supposed to be 6amp but 4amp tripped it. There is a water tap on ...
