Europa Park

A travel blog entry by jtate on Dec 26, 2014

Today we went to Europa Park. The park is separated into all the different areas of Europe. From Russia to Spain to Iceland. It is themed like that country and has rides, shows and entertainment. Not opened at 11 so we got there early so we could go straight in and go on some rides without the queues. There still were queues though. We started with a bobsled roller coaster that Ash cracked me up! Her words- I don't like this, I don't like this, AHHHH! And at the end she wouldn't admit it ...

After feeling incredibly full we waddled outside and grabbed the nurf guns. We had a massive nurf war in the farm courtyard and it was great. Until o got hit in the eye. But I'm ok! We proceeded to have a game of cricket! It was a lot of fun! Now we are back inside and chilling. Watching a movie. Overall a great ...

We also ordered another near 100euro bottle of champagne, I am really starting to dig this French champagne. The food was amazing, every mouthful was a treat. By the end of desserts and coffee we were stuffed. Then they bought ...

... automatic ordering machines. Touch screen computers that take your order so you don't have to queue. The best thing ever. Anyway we continued onto the markets after waiting ages for Linda and Ashleigh to finish shopping... The city is coated in lights. Every street and building has Christmas lights and decorations! The markets were excellent. We browsed the various stalls of Christmas decorations, ornaments, nicknacks, crepes, pizza baguettes, toffee ...

... supermarket-bought salmon, prawns and crabs. Our one true restaurant meal was at this far-flung place (if you choose to walk like we did) in Schiltigheim. Aux Quatre Vents was a true gem. We stumbled into a little cosy house, not knowing what was on the menu. We had escargots, rabbit meat, lagsana, spatzle, salad ...
