    ... conditioning on inside the car. Arrival at Chateau d'Adomenil - gorgeous! Hotel very kindly upgraded us to a suite overlooking the Aromatic Garden - (see photos). Took a stroll around the grounds taking in the tranquility of the surroundings. Fine dining in the hotel restaurant and then coffee out on the terrace at the rear of the Chateau.     campsite a bit disappointing compared with what we have been at on our travels so far. Not overly friendly, seems more focussed towards French clientele. The surrounds and scenery are beautiful, mountains as far as can be seen. Must be excellent for winter ski season too. Hot still. Summer has certainly hit! ...

    ... in farmers fields. The other strange feature here are the lakes and ponds. This region has over 1,000 of them. Black brackish holes some with boating, fishing and some with gorgeous houses built next to them. We saw an amazing one at la Mer. Two lakes and a sunken swimming pool, mill wheel and landscaped gardens. I was so in ore I forgot to get my camera out. In fact I forgot it most of the ride.     ... we got a big shower and the rest of the day the sun and rain took their turn. We arrived at 5:10 pm at Bellerive-sue-Allier which actually is just over the bridge from Vichy.
