Decided to take a morning excursion to Cassis even though we planned to disembark a day early in Marseille - turned out to be a great decision as we probably would not have bothered to get ourselves there on our own, & it is a beautiful town! Especially loved the little boat trip to three of the closest calanques. Soaked up the sunshine at a waterside café then wandered through the narrow back streets & through the bustling local market.

... come. I tell her we should find a taxi. At 4, Jen askes me what our contingency plan is. We both have decided on finding a taxi and bring the the French Canadian with us. Jen says because she speaks French but for me it is because I've been that solo traveler stranded and it is my turn to pay it forward. But 2 minutes later the train pulls in thankfully.

... was absolutely fantastic. We all enjoyed it and had a great time together reminiscing about our two weeks together and experiences. At the end of the evening, we all said our goodbyes with hopes of seeing each other again.

... Chapelle Notre Dame de Fos. It was a steep climb but worth it for the lovely views of the town below. The town is well named as flowers abound everywhere, there was bourganvilia , oleander, plumbago and of course everywhere the Mimosa trees. After a latte in the St. Tropez Horbor, we saw how the other half lives in "Little Venice" as we continued to Port Grimaud. This is the first of the Cote d'Azur's purpose-built resorts and it was designed to resemble an old world Mediterranean fishing village.
