A history lesson
... before leaving - that was one of Maria Konopnicka, whose books we were reading when being young children and whose novels and stories are still read and enjoyed by thousands of youth in Poland. We also "joined" a Polish tourist group led by a fanatical guide... She was so engaged and committed to the things she was telling, that she could not notice one or two additional faces.

She jumped into some clothes and we headed for the stairwell to hike down from the eighth floor. It's hard to leave L'viv
... she checked a printed railway timetable and said there was one every day. Awesome! So we have her write out a note in Ukrainian asking for 2 tickets to Luts’k and then another note asking for 2 tickets from Luts’k to Suceava, Romania and away we go to the railway ticket office downtown. We get to the train station and find that there is one attendant who speaks English! She tells us that she can help us with the tickets to get to Luts’k but ...

... was immense and as I made my way through it like Carter exploring Tut's tomb, I saw wonderful things. There were two - that's right, count 'em, two! - weiners in the super dog.
