    ... has the nail marks!! And we arrived. Very late in the day but only a day early. The receptionist must have thought we were just mad. Despite my best suggestions of finding a local hotel for the night a spare pitch was found. No real bed :-( So we pitched at warp factor 8. Our Dutch neighbours kindly offered to help but being truly British we declined and cracked on while the winds got up, the thunder cracked and the lightening flashed. Thankfully there ...

    ... location than planned, longer on the buses, and we didn't know where we would return to as the boat may or may not get through. As it happened the boat did get through (another boat who tried straight after didn't get through, had to get towed, and apparently will be penalized. They had no passengers)

    Due the money saved by not having to place everyone in hotels to finish the trip, it was champers ...

    ... By this point I was getting ****** off. I found a couple more hostels which were a five minute walk away. When I got to the first one no surprisingly it was closed as well. I decided to ring the door bell, but I got no response. In the end a young Hungarian guy came out were was staying there. He confirmed that the place closed at 9pm, but said I should follow him to the pub to see what his mates and family would suggest. They did say I could ...

    ... remember the Cesky Krumlov photos. When we were her 20 years ago, NO ONE around the square spoke ONE word of English. Now it's a real tourist destination.

    Castle tour tomorrow and graphite mine tour on Friday. Rain expected both days for both days.

    Well, after reading long into the night, Christine woke my up around breakfast time, and I passed on that for more sleep. After breakfast, Christine woke me up to see if I still wanted to go on the brewery tour that we had planned on, and I passed on that for some more sleep.
