Bus, boat and a Chocolate oasis

A travel blog entry by karadawson366 on Jul 06, 2015

... just across the street. Stepping in to the air conditioned comfort, we were handed a free chocolate. Enormous piles of beautifully wrapped chocolates everywhere. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Bought two expensive bottles of Evian water (I hate paying for water), and battled the heat again to find the metro station. By then we were experts on taking the metro so got back to our apartment with no problems. Trying to stay awake, we thought we'd walk to ...

We were offered that ...

After the alarm shocking me into existence at 4.15am (with not the best sleep behind me), I battled the underground and Heathrow to finally get on the plane to Paris.

If ever I have felt out of my comfort zone, this would be it. Having just about 3 or 4 French words in my vocabulary make for a very unusual experience. I will address that after I talk about today's attractions...

Fortunately I arrived at the hotel just ...

... came from everywhere, with horses and vans and everything and it was amazing. We then walked up to tarc de triomphe whilst the police sorted it out. We then Waited ages for a bus that didn't rock up only to find our driver and guide were at the police station...

So! We caught the metro! Paris has a the most confusing metro map. So this was quite fun!

We then had a boat trip along the river right past the Eiffel Tower which I really really enjoyed. We then ...
