      ... for everyone, but we just HAD to walk around to the Eiffel Tower. Actually the tower is only 200 metres from our apartment. It feels like it is IN our lounge room :) We were almost accosted by the vendors trying to sell us miniature souvenirs of the tower, but decided that as it was quite cold, we would rather return during the day to take the tour. All systems go for tomorrow on the 'hop on hop off' bus ...

      ... were super happy with the 3 ice cubes in our drinks! On the 5th floor, after eating, we went to the Impressionists exhibit. Tres magnifique!       ... to try and sort out these stupid phones, the concierge won but Optus be very afraid when I get home.       ... the tour was seeing the history of the building with beautiful paintings on the roof and a wonderful discovery of the Medieval Moat which had been filled in with dirt and the Palace built on top. They were able to excavate out the dirt and you can now walk under ground were the water once sat. It was very cool. At the end of the tour we saw the Mona Lisa.       ... shops were so high end, we departed quickly. Back on the metro to Bir-hakim and the Eiffel Tower. A walk past the many tented kiosks selling everything from souvenirs to eats ( we stopped for ice cream..the day was hot!) and we arrived at the enormous iron structure built for the worlds fair in1889.
