... the state of the family. The vote was to go today. We're off. Bought made up rolls and chocolate croissants on our way to the train station. One train direct from the local station to Marne la Vallee/Chessy station, and Paris Disney! We left the apartment by 10:00, and arrived at Disneyland by 11:00. We hopped off the train and immediately realised that Paris weather and Chessy weather can be quite different. It was freezing, and a heavy fog settled over ...

This morning was study time, then lunch at the renowned Jewish shawarma place on Rue des Rosiers called L'as du Fallafel. We were not surprised to find the place crowded with young travellers and locals because the food is generous, fairly cheap, and filling. Meg had a felafel sandwich and Laurie the lamb sharma with lemonade. Very good on a rainy cool day. After lunch we visited ...

We had promised a day on their own that took them to Le Marais district where they toured, shopped, lunched and had happy hour before returning to change and enjoy a 4 hour dinner at a 3 star Michelin restaurant (Pierre Gagnaire) that they had reserved while still in Canada. They had what sounded like and looked like (lots of pics) a fantastic feast and got ...

      ... their thing!!

Still atop the Arc de Triomph, and after the Eiffel Tower lit, it began to sparkle with thousands of twinkle lights. It seemed too perfect to be real—but what else could we expect for an end to this perfect day? After reveling in the beauty of Paris, we stopped into a café for a quick dinner (every café has onion soup that is divine!) and then made our way back home. We’re exhausted again, but excited for our last day in Paris. We are having such a glorious ...

... we were exhausted by 9pm after the tour we thought it best to socialise for the evening as we were the newcomers so we hit an Irish pub down the road to watch the soccer final. There were a heap of German supporters in the pub so the atmosphere was electric when they won 1-0 in overtime. Much dancing on tables and screaming. Oh and we forgot to mention a glass of red in a restaurant is cheaper than bottled water! No wonder wine is so popular over ...
