Sparkling Lights in Lugano

We arrived in this beautiful city at dusk so we weren't able to get the most out of it. Stayed there only for one hour and we spent that time in Parco Civico capturing the flickering lights of the city surrounded by mountains. The view from the shores of Lake Lugano was fascinating. It's truly a must-visit city and I'd love to go back and see it in broad daylight. ...

After a few days by the sea it was time to head North toward Lago Maggiore and the Swiss border. I had stayed at Lake Maggiore when I was a kid and it was something I remembered as a quiet and beautiful place. Nowadays it is home to 65 cloistered nuns who only come out once a year to celebrate the work of St Gulius. This was when Gilberto and his friends bought Guilio the sheep this year, and how Guilio got his name! After walking around the island we sit in the sun waiting for the boat to come back. I ...

... etc. she was puzzled why we'd gone to Saluzzo. Now we've seen the place, we understand why we had that reaction from some others, even though our logic was just about breaking up the trip! Sounds like it may be the equivalent of staying in foul burn while on a holiday to Australia! Dinner is at the nearest restaurant, though there are probably 15 to choose from within a 5 minute walk. A few peculiar things...decor is pretty modern, white tables with clean lines and ...
