... Brandenburg Gates...Then we crossed to the Western side of Berlin and you could see the distinct difference.. Amazing really, to hear the story of the wall and how decided the city was, very hard to imagine living under those conditions with parts of family on one side separated by the wall.. We then went to Checkpoint Charlie which was in part of the No mans land or the Neutral zone, controlled by the Americans, that was really ...

Leaving the terminal our queuing is not over as there is also a queue waiting for the bus back to the long stay car parks.

We had planned on having a short break after leaving the M25 but in the end we drive straight home arriving about 19:30, just in time to get something to eat before the 20:00 rugby kicks off.

It is surprisingly hot and with little air quite oppressive. We seek the refuge of a shady table and, purely for cultural reasons, decide to sample a local ale. It is nice and cold but apart from that, not being a lager person, it is a bit bland for me although it is no great hardship to drink it. I am sure I will be introducing myself to several of its friends shortly. Beer appears to be less than 2 per pint and ...

... sound but this is Tuesday night Poznan-about 25 only. This felt super small in the massive space. The gig involved four acts, DG ambient set to star by one of the organisers Carolina, then local act-a political punk rock duo (vocal and bass) from-Siksa. Amazing vocal and energetic performance from lead singer. I was enamoured. Though told by our host for the night, later, it was a ...
