We made a good effort to get up a bit earlier than usual this morning as the nearby town of Gaillac has a market in each Friday. Early for us mind you was 8:30am... The market was good for a small town. Consisting of fruit, veg, meats (fresh and cured), cakes/breads as well as a variety of ornaments, clothing and even mattresses and doonas! We bought a beautiful salad bowl and cheese board made from 200yr old olive wood. The grain and colour is incredible. The kids ...

... headed to a town called Albi to a restaurant we had read great reviews for. Sort of a Birthday Lunch for Hazza. The food was very artistic and tasty and we mentioned it was Harry's birthday and when dessert time came around they came and sand happy birthday to him. The 360deg views were amazing as well as the ability to built such a structure on the side of a cliff. Afterwards we headed to the Bastide town of Cordes sur Ciel for more medieval sights, and lunch! A bastide is normally situated on top of a steep hill, with stone walls ...

... Found the supermarket and a pub so all was good. About 2:30pm we left Gaillac and drove out to the house we were staying out. We met Stephane at Castelnau who then directed us out to the property. Well we weren't disappointed. Great views, large well appointed house with underfloor heating, wood fire (with plenty of wood outside), excellent ...

... they have a solution to this problem! Nathan was pointed in the direction of the vending machines where you not only find the normal softdrink and chocolate bars for sale but also a vending machine just for togs! So after paying his 14euro and selecting the size and style he wanted (Kate would not let him by the DTs), the machine dispensed his togs in a little bag and he was right to go. This was certainly a first for us to see.
