There are a lot of toll highways
At breakfast you get a bowl and must decide if you want to use it for coffee or for cereal....I took 2 bowls anyways

I had 350 miles to cover if I wanted to hit France today, I couldn't face that on the back roads so did 200 miles on the Italian motorways, 3 hours & 26 Euro later.....I got back onto the A roads. It took me the best part of 6 hours to cover 150 miles over the mountains. I told the Satnav to avoid motorways and toll roads and then take me the shortest route......I can't decide whether that was a mistake or not because altitude wise I peaked ...
... peddlars....elsewhere the army are patrolling the station with machine guns and polite well dressed old gentlemen politely ask you to give them spare change.
Breakfast is a baguette...but of course. Earlier we went into some sophisticated cafe for breakfast.....we managed to get served some coffee at least but were told there were no croissants or omelette. Imagine ...

That evening we Skyped my Mum as it was her birthday and had a nice long catch up before heading out to a restaurant for dinner...Le Comptier. The food was delicious. I had 'black pig' which just melted in the mouth whilst the others all had steak. All the desserts were just as fantastic as was the service we received.
... s vertigo. On one of the rock faces, Michelle's disco legs was a source of amusement for both Virginie and me!!!
Well we made it down safely...eventually and back to the car. A short walk with Chicken for him to stretch his legs and then we made it to the village Bar for a beer! Another film was tonight's entertainment...The Bridges of Madison County.
