So today I acheived most of the things that defeated me yesterday. I have had a key cut so I get use our ski locker. It may have cost 12.50CHF (that would be Swiss Francs or Chuffs as they are know here) but I weighed up the other option of lugging ski kit to apartment door, hoping someone has left me a key before trekking downstairs and up again all season. A nice gentle start on the slopes
First day off!!!! and first morning of sunshine! whooohooo! After a very un-seasonnaire evening of early to bed Beth and I met up with Sarina,Matt and Nat. All of whom have promised me that they are equally pants on snow as I am. They lied.

This morning is supposed to be the team meet on the mountain but as last night was a big one for some and I don't want to be slowing the group up on everyone's first opportunity to get on the hill I opt for trying to get some jobs done and some resort navigation.

Team dinner at 14
... fig chutney and toasts and then-yes more!-honeycomb and apple parfait with apple sorbet. My goodness! The most incredible meal I've ever had. The chefs are outstanding. The service was smooth and charming, so impressed with the hosts.
After finishing our drinks in the lounge the team head out for a few drinks on the town. I'm entirely sure that Verbier nightlife is quite me. Very different to La Ros vibe of fun and friendly. I need to do a bit more expolring to find my fit I think.

Chalet Time - Deeep clean!
... for the past year, the whole place needs a good paint. Lunch with Joel & Charlotte. My hands are getting so dry from all the cleaning - can't wait for the arrival of rubber gloves, awoohoo!! I had dinner at Megs tonight, Tim was elsewhere - very short on food now, had 1 sliver of Duck each that we've managed to eek out of the leftovers, SuperU order should arrive tomorrow.
