... can describe what you see, when driving. The towns, the villages perched on the mountain side, the streams running along side the road side. The old house and church here and there, it was unbelievable. To feel free and be away in clean air is wonderful.
On this side the trip to Turin wasn't too long which was good.

... we stopped for breaks it was an added element of excitement to watch racers try and pass one and other as well as slow moving local cars or bicyclists.

We were pretty well wiped out by the time we reached Villars-sur-Ollon, which was good granted the previous day we hadn't really hiked at all. Our hotel in Villars-sur-Ollon also had a sauna and steam-bath to help us relax at the end of the day which was great.

... Chamonix really felt like real spring, that fresh garden smell, birds chirping, rivers flowing and just everything coming back to life again. It was simply beautiful! John, my brother in law and I had a magnificent day up at L'Aguille de Midi (3,841m) high above Chamonix followed by a three hour hike from the cable car's mid station to a glacier where we caught a little mountain cog railway back down to Chamonix.
