    Caught a taxi from Saint Come to Estaing it would have been 15.5 walk, quite manageable however Jane is still unwell and Helen seems to have caught the bad cough as well. We had made a booking in a nice hotel and so on arrival we were able to explore the town. Quite magnificent really. It is dominated by an ancient chateaux owned by Valerie Giscard ...

    ... of the river and the lights, and this morning we decided we liked it enough to stay another night. Another wander around this morning, while the laundry was going, and now Treas has decided to have a swim, because there is a nice heated pool here too.     ... overdue for a session at the beauty-salon, so I set-to at the "Lavage" they provide.... After 2 sessions at 3Eu each, I ran out of change to feed the machine, with it s pressure sprayer of hot water and paint-stripper, and while I waited for Treas to return, I got out a hand-sponge and painstakingly tried to rub-off all the accumulated bugs and dirt. So, we headed South afterwards, and have ended up at a place called Gueret, and have a delightful camp alongside a lake or river...it's water...with beautiful green grassy grounds, few people, and it is quite serene... The wifi is, as usual, very suss... Been searching for over an hour to get connected, and it has just now asked for a password.....     Wow - number 1 village by far.  As you will see in some of the photo's the properties and views are stunning.  We wandered in and around many of the cobble stone type streets, through small tunnels and passageways.   There is a reason they have all non residents park in one spot at the bottom as the narrow 'roads' would be a nightmare for a non-resident to manage.
