Not sure if things have got cheaper overall now, or the NZ dollar is so much more in our favour than it was last time when $1 was worth 30p, whereas now it's worth more than 50p, and the euro is around 1.5 to our dollar, so things appear cheaper than they were even three or four years ago when I was last in UK.

Even in residential areas, there is a hole in the ground with "Roman Ruins" many feet below street level. We visited a slew of Catholic churches where you could go down in the basement and find the ruins of a Roman temple. ...

... security together. We had already pulled all electronics, but one of our bags was flagged by security to be inspected, and that same agent asked us to join her at a table. The bag she pulled had a big S on it. I couldn't help but giggle—my daughter, a threat to security. The agent opened the bag, took out the fluffy cupcake patterned pillow, and found Sara's bottle of half consumed water at the bottom of her bag from the trip to Barcelona, the last time she ...

... ships" of Compagnie du Ponant of Marseille France, will head into the Arctic Circle. A life dream for their captains and their company; we have enjoyed a long relationship over 22 years with Compagnie du Ponant. I am so proud to be invited. Captains Garcia and Marchessau are the leaders with great teams. They say each polar voyage is unique -- only CDP, Lindblad (National Geographic) and Silversea are currently ...
