Had some lunch and went into the basilica san Marco on the main square which has ceilings that are decorated with 24 carat gold, an actual gold ceiling. They served European food but the place was owned by Chinese and they mostly spoke Italian and Chinese but no English. We know of Mr. Xie from Airbnb. Mr. Xie’s place was the cheapest there. All ...

... maybe they felt sorry for us, but anyway very nice of them! So for the first time on this trip I actually had a private shower and toilet, result!
The campsite was great, probably one of the best places I've stayed at so far, they had a bar, restaurant, supermarket, two swimming pools and hot tubs! Might try staying at campsite a little more often if they are all like this.

Venice, the so called couples paradise, I really thought this place would make me sick with ...
