... us a pasta party which was only 3 euro. They gave us terrible champagne, pasta and popcorn. Definitely a budget meal but hey 3 euro! The following day we got up early and went to Cannes. It was great seeing the beautiful city, very clean and full of rich people! The beach was also very nice as it had SAND! Nice beach is stunning however laying on pebbles and trying to get in and especially out of the water was very embarrassing and painful! We tried macaroons in Cannes ...

      ... fishing.

Yet more than 100,000,000 (yes, one hundred million) sharks are taken from the water each year, mainly to supply the fin trade. Sometimes, rather than bringing a shark back to land, it will be "finned" (the dorsal fin is cut off) and its body dumped back in the water. Without its fin, the shark cannot swim. And if it cannot swim, it suffocates and dies. Seventy percent of all shark species are threatened. I actually feel sorry for sharks now.

We felt very pale, and I felt extremely conservative, being one of the only women who did not walk around topless. After enjoying the warm water and the beachside we moved up to have a walk on the path and eventually have a late drunch (send to be a bit of a faux pas having these inbetween ...

... damn cold. We grabbed a couple of beers and the boys played in the raft. Kurt saw the parasailing and really wanted to go, oh hell, what's another 80 euros on this expensive trip?!? I decided to go with him. It was a short ride, but super fun. He laughed and screamed the whole time! They dipped us down into the water a couple of times! We landed and went pretty far under, and damn I got saltwater in my eyes, I so hate that. I unhooked us and we had ...

Monte Carlo, Monaco-A sunny place for shady people

After a breakfast at the hotel, we walked to the train station from the hotel. It was a 20min walk through the Old Town of Nice. This was a way to spend time in Monte Carlo, but also a dry run to see what we would need to do the next day with all of our luggage. Travel time to Monaco via train took about 30 minutes with a bunch of stops in between.

Monaco is the second-smallest country in ...
