... but true. Then it's up a couple of sneaky hills to the hotel. We rode 60kms today! We're staying in a town called Carnac at the Tumulus Hotel and Spa. It's lovely, great big room, comfy lounge chairs, room to hang the washing out and dodgy wifi. Quick shower and I'm off for my massage, which is as wonderful as you'd expect. Ile de Glenans to Lorient
We woke to a misty start to our day but by mid afternoon the skies started to clear so we decided to leave the River Odet where had enjoyed 3 lovely days and sail to Iles de Glenans to hopefully anchor there for a few days, as last year we were only able to stay for 1 night, David worked our a course to avoid the rocks, sailed all the way with main and genoa up and often reached over 7 knots, we arrived and decided to anchor off the beach on ...
... Hotel Le Brieux (I think) for a coffee, cold drink and lunch which was Croque
Monsieur basically a toasted ham sandwich with melted cheese on the top.
Joined by Pen Friend Annie - for a beer we then walked to a little bar up a steep cobbled street and succumbed to a beer.
We returned to
the hotel for a small siesta before being collected again by Annie for another meal at our French friend’s house.

Then a started of Melon with bread and butter – try it !!! It is a taste sensation!! The main course came out and was (see picture) what looked like a stew of some sort –it turned out to be Rabbit, Pork, Mushroom and Onion - a really really nice combination.
