Día hermoso en Barcelona. Nos levantamos y nos fuimos a caminar por la calle más céntrica, el Passeig de Gracia (una onda libertador pero con edificios de Gaudí). Caminando nos encontramos con la Casa Batiló: una hermosura, es tan identificable la arquitectura de Gaudí que no hay que mirar el mapa para encontrarla… las ventanas son de otro mundo, y los techos parecen la crema de una torta en distintas capas. ... of sunbathers on it! You really don't see many people swimming so the beaches are pretty full by midday! I don't know that we've quite gotten used to this whole 16 hours of daylight thing yet but I really like it - I'm sure I'll hate it in winter when we only have a few hour s of daylight but ah well!! ... there is no sand, just really big rocks about the size of tennis balls, that had been smoothed over by centuries of waves wearing them down. I edged towards the water, which was quite warm considering the weather, and took a few strokes out into the Mediterranean for my first time.

I went back to the bathroom to dry off and change back then Matt and I headed for some food. We grabbed some cheese, bread, meats and beers ...
