    ... After a celebratory drink we made our way back to the bus stop and managed to buy some tickets this time. The younger generation slept the whole journey , anyone would have thought they had done a triathlon. We stocked up at the supermarket with BBQ food and more beer, before returning back to base camp.     Graham had to register and do a team photo this morning, so I opted to stay in the village.     ... the streets. Many shops had already closed, but it was obvious that "patisseries" were a staple of the community. There were plenty of shops proudly displaying their breads, jams, and macaroons. Peering into a few restaurants we settled on eating at one of the places our hotel recommended.     ... make use of the fabulous produce on offer. (However, I did buy a large slab of lovely Emmental cheese for 2 EU which would have cost about $13 back home.) We enjoyed a leisurely lunch by the canals and as the day was getting hotter eventually decided to return to the hotel for a rest………holidays are about taking it slow.
