        Beam me up Scotty

... We are off to the seaside ( she said hopefully). Another reason being that the person who helped us organise this obviously has no knowledge of the country at all and has us up and down hundreds of kilometres every day. Ho hum.

It is very hard to think of anything positive today - we rocked up at the seaside to find it is an old fishing village. This sounds great except we were walked around the village with its open sewers and people living in squalor. ...

Heading off to get to Mercedes with our
fingers crossed. We passed through lots of little villages, all very
friendly. What seems odd to me is that they have the graveyards
situated one grave deep along the side of the main road. The country
seems very jungally today, in fact we got some heat induced drizzle
today. The police today seem very generous ...

We spend the morning walking through the local streets, along the promenade and on the beach.
We pick up the car in the afternoon and head off to Cottillo on the NW corner. A pleasant fishing village that reminds us of Greek Islands.

In the evening we eat in a Tapas Restaurant which is part owned by an English man. The food is good but more expensive than ...

        Trip to Lobos Island

A travel blog entry by davidandmarjory on Nov 06, 2013

We take the ferry to Lobos Island to climb the volcano and also yo do some snorkelling. We set off up the mountain track which gradually gets tougher and rougher! Marjory stops 3/4 of the way up as we are conceded about the decent on the very slippery shingle. David goes to the summit and the edge of the caldera. The views from the top and from 3/4 up are fantastic and hopefully we will have some good ...

        Groguida diva!

Spent the day shakin' our stuff down the coast, popped down to Groguida for a spot of watersports. Was pretty windy as we went waterskiing, pretty sure some o' the lads on the beach got quite an eyeful!
Met up with some blokes afterwards for a beer and a ciggie, got pretty sloshed (sorry Carlos!) and lost Alma towards the end of the evening. Turns out she'd hit the tiles with a couple of Spanish girls from ...
