    ... us felt like it had no soul. There was no heart or life to the town. The temperature is still in the high 30s and it really saps your energy. The sun rises early and doesn't set until after 10:30pm. The twilight time between 8 and 10 is the best time to go for a walk. It cools down and it's very pleasant.     ... best we could. On arrival into Luxemburg we did what all Europeans do in Luxemburg filled up the car as it's the cheapest fuel in Europe. Funny thing I went in to pay and the chap spoke perfect English, I said number 7 please and he did a double take… I don’t think normal vehicles take 190ltrs of fuel.     Today we travelled the 192 miles to Charleville Mezieres in the Ardennes. The autoroutes were slightly busier than usual due to it being May Day weekend in Europe as well as the UK. We encountered a few showers enroute but the weather cleared up and we wandered into the attractive town centre to listen to live music and buy a few locally produced items at a Beer and wine festival.     ... 3 'models' in wedding dresses, one of whom decided to run into the Lac for photographic effect....the screams as the water hit certain parts of her anatomy could be heard across the waters for some distance; how she home in a sodden wedding dress is any ones guess...perhaps she drove back in a another suit all together!

    ... church bells ring on the hour, and you are surrounded by the bucolic peace of vast rolling hills and beech forest.
    How fortunate we are to be doing this. Thanks go to our amazing friends, Lorne and Darlene for their detailed organisation and unstinting generosity to pull this trip together for us. How lucky we are.
