... I still had a choice of a few different trains, so I got the one at 12:30pm. This train left from the Nice Ville station, and it was a madhouse! I didn’t realise just how mental this strike was making people, but it made me really glad that I have been travelling by bus instead of by train. This place was just crazy.

... It would have been a good shot. Also the general sprawl of people sitting out alrfresco drinking beer in the afternoon sun was a nice scene. I came back into town later on with some more camera charge so you'll see some old town photos all at about 8:30pm. The sun was just setting on the old buildings then. Perfect to sit outside, enjoy some live music, and just take in these lovely surroundings.

Day 32: A good day for the train

... the bench. We also had someI chocolate and cookies that Susanna had given us. I had the bright idea to buy some olives and put them in a zip lock baggie so we could eat them easier on the train... Worst idea ever. The nasty juice that was still left over got all over everything. We smelled pretty bad. At least we weren't homeless this day too, we would have been quite the sight.

... of the world! I'm watching a little boy skateboard past me, little girls skipping rope in the alley, a cat with David Bowie eyes chasing string next to me, and an extremely gorgeous French waiter is feeding me drinks because he doesn't want me to leave. Sigh.... Haha!!

... on the remains of the Roman settlement of Cemenelum that was first discovered in 1943. It is a series of bath houses from the 3rd century as well as paved streets. There are also the remains of a Christian complex (5th century AD).
