Today is our half way day! We have officially have been here for 2 and a half weeks! The alarm went off at 7:30am and no one got out of bed. Our initial plan was to hike the park that led to a view of Nice, but everyone was tired. I got up and took a shower, hoping they would get ready after me. However, I woke them up when I was ready and they still wanted more sleep. I let them sleep, set them a new alarm, and walked around the town. I walked along ...

We even dared to hit the road again and made our way to a McDonalds (first fast food in a long time) and I'm sure I broke at least a couple driving rules as we got turned around then back on track as we wound our way to the hotel. Without Sally navigating, I'm sure I would still be stuck somewhere in Nice.

I had seen a black car at the far end of the courtyard, so I wonder if Prince Albert or another royal was going out for the day. So ...

... ourselves we were on the French Riviera, whilst beautiful in reality we could of been on any shore front as the condominiums were just as we had seen on other shore fronts in Europe. The prime real estate and mansions are up in the hills overlooking the bay.
We had dinner in a beautiful restaurant we stumbled across. magnificent seafood, fish soup, salmon and chocolate mousse for dessert, also very reasonably priced by Europe ...

... to give up when an old guy in a cafe finally said yes before handing us his old-school Nokia. Dane gave Abdou a call and we sorted out where to find him. By this time we were about 45 mins late!

It turned out that the museum wasn't even open on Mondays anyway which was a bit of a shame especially when Abdou showed us some pictures on his phone of the view that you can take in from a veranda off the top floor. We walked around to a park with more glorious views to ...
