... campervans. One of which had the biggest dog we have every seen. It was a Newfoundland, which looked a little like a small bear but was as tame as a kitten. As the sun was about to set we took some photos and then had a wander through the village - everything was closed - end of season.

Diesel and Steam Train

Leave from nice on the Chemins de fer de Province (diesel train) to Touet-sur-Var. And then the steam train to Entrevaux, city with amazing views. On the way back a quick stop in Puget-Théniers.

My camera battery died once we hit Entrevaux so no photos :(

Last farewell to France and a wedding

... So upon arrival at Nice I picked up my hire car and drove up to Fayence to Rosemarie's place.

The next few days were filled with relaxing by the pool and spending time with mum, interspersed with a lovely wedding at Roquebrune. The wedding was amazing as it was in a very picturesque spot and Cate and James had all their good friends there to celebrate it.

One very ...

There were three guys playing music down by the sea. they were sitting down on the beach where all the fish boats were docked, one with an accordion, one a cello, and the other a mandolin. A guy from Barcelona, a Norweigan, and a Quebecois, respectively. We sat and listened, and danced, and sang, and chatted in english, french and spanish untill abut 5 am when we went back to the hotel and slept untill 9 .

Homesick in Southern France

... location offered complete privacy and a perfect view of the lake down below.

For the afternoon activities, I most enjoyed driving (or hiking twenty minutes down the hill) to the artificial lake, where the slightly cold and still water felt refreshing under the hot summer sun. One time, we swam one hundred yards to a ledge of rocks and jumped into the water from pretty high up. I am not great with measuring such distances accurately, but based on my celebrated ...

My plane leaves for London, England from Nice tomorrow morning. I'm there overnight and I take a long flight back to Toronto on Sunday morning. Everything back home is in order and my dog has been well looked after.
Tonight, I'm making a special thank you dinner for my aunt and cousins. They have really spoiled me here. I was able to take some great photos ...

Is salimais rastų sausų sakaliukų isdrozėm iesmukus ir ant jų issikepėm taip ilgai lauktas desras. Skonis mums, alkaniems, rodė, kad laukti buvo verta. ... t act confident enough or something, they are all good looking guys, they should have done better. I took a stab at this table of 7 girls and I broke in and sat down and was able to talk to them. They taught me how to play this drinking game where you wave your hands on the side of your head like a moose, and if you mess up you have to drink. I guess there is a lot of moose's in Sweden. After I met everyone, I introduced the guys and ...

Episode 10: Life, Love and European Armpit Hair

... I spent the morning finding some warm cloths (euro-fashionable second hand wool jacket, hat and sweater to the tune of 15 euros. Good deal) then walked the rainy streets and did some window shopping along some of the main boulevards and visited a Russian church, before returning to my hostel to book another night and cook myself some dinner in the hostel kitchen. After a hot meal of cous cous (thoughtfully donated by Kira) I took a half hour nap, before getting and ...
