... took in a great digestif after dinner called Marc de Beaune, a spirit distilled from local wines.

All said it was a great dinner and even after the conversion it would have cost us less than a dinner at the Keg back home and the food was sooooo much better.

Our last dinner in France was great and I'm sure that all that food will help is sleep well ...

... in Australia it seems to be our habit to not really look at people as you toast. So I waited till my Rose came out and then made David toast me with that and the champagne. I was determined to ‘fit in’. Haha I think he thought I was nuts!
I was extremely thankful for this experience. I don’t think we would have found a more authentic place to eat.

Unfortunately the promised wi-fi did not work (annoying when wi-fi is advertised as being available all throughout the premises, but more fool us, we should have other options.). Even trying it downstairs in the main area did not help and I could see David becoming more frustrated when yet again, after a lovely offer of a cuppa from our hostess, she presented him with an earl grey tea bag, a lemon tea bag and no milk.
