... what it was like back in the day. It was a massive castle with houses and shops and everything. It looks exactly like something out of Robin Hood. Very fun to explore. Stoned walkways. Very yummy French lunch before we cross the border into Spain. And we have made it to ...

So yesterday was 'part of the adventure' according to Jess which to me is just another way of saying it was a ****** old day. We discussed going home (French not Welsh) and all things considered we thought this was what we would do. Our plan had been to drive almost 5 hours to one of the few campsites open which had a cool swimming pool. It's been the first time for many years we've been able to celebrate our anniversary, as we have usually had guests in. Last day on this lovely site. Went for a last coffee in Labastide and filled up with diesel for the journey north.

Meal in the restaurant in the evening and once again it was lovely. Owners and all the staff are very friendly. Lovely way to end our stay here. Looking forward to coming back next year.

    Another lazy day around site

Final lazy day to allow us to walk the site and choose a chalet for next year. As I said, although the chalet is lovely, it is a fair bit shade and on the edge of the site. Have chosen a chalet of the same type but situated at the top of the meadow overlooking the restaurant. Made a provisional booking for next year.

met some people who recommended a visit to Figeac and as its there market day tomorrow we have decided to go there.
