... about 1 hour on the boat. There is residential along the shoreline and half way up the mountain most of the way around the lake, the further we get away from Como although it begins to thin out and clear townships can be seen.
Menaggio is, like all the other towns, a holiday destination and at this time of year most of the places are closed. We find somewhere to have lunch and then spend the afternoon wandering through the alleyways ...

... Milan we decided to see the mighty Duomo under daylight so we headed off there again. Despite the guys trying to sell you stuff it was great strolling around the piazza once again and we pretty much spent the whole day around. The guy in the entrance of the park playing Pink Floyd was the finishing touch.   We continued our day ...

called Milan cathedral. I went there and it was kinda weird because it was very
Gothic. I wanted to go because I knew that it was different and I like trying new things.

      ... to impressed.
What I loved the most about Milan was the Duomo. This beautiful Gothic Cathedral left me speechless. I can't find the words to describe how beautiful and amazing this building is. It was just perfect and to know it was build such a long time ago makes it even more amazing.
I knew as I was leaving Milan, heading to Venice, I was about to have a life changing experience.

... you believe that Blueberries are Aussie $2.10 a punnet.....so cheap, the strawberries, raspberries, blackberries are all the same so i had a lovely healthy afternoon tea and went back to the hotel for a nap as i had a bad headache from all my coughing. I set out for an early dinner to one of the restaurants recommended by the hotel. It was down by the lake and lovely seating out the front. It was a beautiful night weather wise and i ordered a gorgeous tortellini carbonara followed ...
