    ... and during the first run the light conditions were very flat. This meant that we could not see any detail on the floor so we were having to compensate for bumps, holes and powder snow as we ran into them. There was a large amount of fresh snow on the hill which made the conditions good for skiing but the flat light made this easy snow an essential for survival rather than the icing on the cake.

    Clear skies and a nippy morning of minus 10 degrees greeted us at 7am. After breakfast of amazing porridge, which was perfect because it warmed us from the inside, we got ready for the day.     ... to Interlaken was anything BUT "just a train ride." Picturesque Swiss landscapes and towns passed us by the entire journey.
