          ... some joggers - as well as the dogs and cats of the valley!

          By the time we reached Stechelberg, we felt we had earned a reward, so we shared a piece of home made Black Forest cake - it was so light that it literally melted in one's mouth. The Post Bus then took us back to Lauterbrunnen, where we sat on our balcony (having a local ale) looking back up the valley at the Jungfrau & Silberhorn mountains and thinking how very lucky we are.

          So we arrived in Lauterbrunnan in the evening to drizzly rain, in a small green valley, surrounded by mountains with waterfalls, and happy cows with bells and snow capped peaks. It was truly something you see on a postcard.

          Lauterbrunnan is filled with very traditional houses and they treat their cows like pets, they all have bells around their necks, names, and they actually let you pat them!

          It was perfect temperature of about 23 ...

          ... rush was indescribable. The sun illuminated the snow capped Swiss Alps and all I could think about was how incredibly blessed I was. We hung around up top for a while before landing, Dan took me really close to the alps I thought we were going to collide. I have no words that can begin to describe how I felt and what the views were like from a birds eye view.

          ... Wegen, we couldn't really see where our trail would take us, so we just walked through the town till we found signs for the path. The trail started out in the forest and immediately began an upward ascent. About 30 minutes of continuous uphill walking, we emerged from the woods and saw the rest of the hike rise above us. It finally became clear we would be literally hike straight up the mountain. The path was very clear and neat, making the trek tiring, but not difficult. ...
