The Chinese are absolutely obsessed with taking photos, to the point where it looks like they are more bothered about getting 'the perfect picture' rather than admiring where they are, hence how we were able to walk 5 minutes along the beach and end up having the whole stretch to ourselves. ... bargain feast indeed. On Sunday mornings they close off Jalan Gaya to traffic and have a big street market. The wares on display were varied ranging from locals selling their home grown produce to mass manufactured t-shirts and other touristy souvenirs.
