Today is a travel day which sees us meet Nicole for breakfast and then pack our gear and catch the Eurostar to Paris. Arriving at our flat for the week we find we are very well positioned and are about half a kilometre from the Eiffel Tower. You can actually see the tower from the upstairs window. The flat is your typical quirky French affair but is a really good find.

... the hotel and it was amazing! It was lamb that basically melted in your mouth it was so tender haha. Cheyenne and I were in heaven! Later we went to a little pub that and watched the French interact with each other around us. We finished our drinks and headed back to the hotel ready for another day of driving.

... joule de porc) with pomme de terre purée. Bill and I had poitrine de veau (veal breast stuffed with sausage) both with potato purée and basil oil. We also had a red wine from the France domaine of Pyrennes Atlantique. I had Baba au Rhum and Chantilly Cream, everyone else had rice pudding with caramel sauce. Whew, we were full after all of that. Home to bed and the end of day 28.

... All the flowers and the many colors. Thee are so many cute little shops or boutiques along the road that we could pop in and out of. Hails and I found a shop that sold only bags and bags of all sort. It was fun to go in there and see backpacks, purses, luggage, and bags for no reason at all except for looks. ... party that had to take numerous photos of the train and each other and block the passageway from the platform. It was leaving the Gard du Nord that took some time. The light drizzle consolidated into persistent rain and the taxi queue was at least 200 people long, most of it standing in the rain. Discretion was the better part of valour and we ducked back into the station, grabbed a coffee and waited out the queue.
