... was looking forward to…….unfortunately the only nudity to be seen was a very saggy old man strutting his stuff, it was enough to put anyone off their sausage rolls!!! When we had just about lost the will to live, with our muscles screaming at us to stop, we realised that we could see the finish point. It was only 3pm, we had paddled our hearts out thinking that we weren’t even half way, but we had finished! What a relief, we were told that the ...

We stayed at an Air B'n'B rental within the ancient town centre, and were lucky enough to have access to a rooftop patio that looked out over the city toward the Palais de Papes. Had a lovely time strolling along the medieval ramparts, and the gorgeous wall of greenery in the city centre. Nothing bad to say about my visit to Avignon!

... then I open my mouth to speak and I sound like a bogan at the bus mall with food in my mouth. But I am trying. Actually everytime we go to Avignon we get to practice our French with the lady's voice that announces the next stop, like "prochain arret Gendamerie" or pronounced "pro chen arre shon da merry". Our French may get there thanks to the Avignon to Pont Saint Esprit bus service.

It has been nearly three weeks and the lapsed time since I last ...
