      ... rusty, especially with my listening/comprehension skills - everyone speaks so quickly! - but I've been able to make myself understood all day, at grocery stores and patisseries and train stations alike. I'm looking forward to improving, and especially to my ears catching up with my mouth.

      ... was closed but we could order room service. I asked for a charcuterie plate for Daniel and I and maybe a croque Monsieur (cheese and ham toasty) for the girls. Room service arrived 10 minutes later and we were presented with an exquisite cheese plate with home baked breads and a charcuterie plate - both of which would have been quite comfortable at Vue de monde. The bar fridge gave up two ice cold Kronenbourg 1664's and we were in heaven! We all slept well and breakfast ...

      ... we got drinks at McDonalds across the street where they just put in new electronic ordering systems. Looks like human beings are being fazed out of production. If they bring those machines to Canada look for youth unemployment to skyrocket.
