    Lunch with an old friend

A travel blog entry by daniel.swiss on Jun 10, 2015

Today I had lunch with an old friend of mine, one of the last people I still know at my first employer. We remembered the "good old days", and we caught up with the kid's stories. I realized that his youngest is now 15; the last time I saw him, he was ...

    Day 3: Bonn

A travel blog entry by alanad.abroad on Jun 03, 2015

Today we decided to go check out the old part of Bonn. So we decided to head out again with Phil. We said good bye to Phil on the train and he headed to his UN meetings. We rode the train a few more stops.

We got off the train and made our way to the old Bonn. It's really beautiful. The area looks like what I think of in regards to German architecture. Not too far from the metro stop is ...

... Then when we got back to the apartment I went to pour myself a drink and when I opened the coke bottle it sprayed everywhere! Had to get the mop out and clean the floor as it was a sticky mess. It was such a lovely evening we decided to go for a walk to the lake and Marty stepped in doggy poo that he had a heck of a job to ...

... Kiwis find these dates unbelievable.

Still very tired wanderd back to my refuge for a rest. One thing I have found difficult is the different times of doing things. My hosts got home from work at 7:45pm, we then went for a 40min run up to the United Nations buildings so I would know how to get there for future reference. We returned by a part of the waterfront which I had not done before ...
