Day 16 - The Monte Carlo

The French man at the macaron place got confused because meg and I ordered after the boys and he said 'I thought the guys bought enough for four' hehe no. Meg an I got three each. We return to the ancestral manse
... up on a branch of the lemon tree so that it contained a blossom, which grew into a lemon within the bottle. When it was ripe, I cut the stem of the lemon, untied the bottle, and filled it with vodka. We still have it. During its decade-long marination the lemon has become somewhat bleached out, and the vodka has acquired a strong yellow tint. The passage of time can be marked in so many ways.

Monte Carlo - May 1st
... could see the Mariner anchored out at sea and the Silversea Silver Whisper docked at the pier. Next, we stopped for a view of the middle ages village of Eze from afar We continued to Eze where we had time to walk up the steep incline for more photo opportunities. The village had narrow alleys with twists and turns. Most important it had a shop selling Limoge figurines. Wouldn’t mind coming back here sometime!

Comfortable again!
So, today wasn't that interesting... just another travel day! I was on the train from 9am until 2pm. Nothing really interesting, but I did manage to have a conversation in French for almost a solid hour with the guy who was sitting next to me. My brain hurt sooo much after that, though. Talking for so long in another language is mentally exhausting... so I napped for the rest ...
