    ... heading downstairs for a snack and refreshments. We’ve had the same hotel attendant here for two nights who is very good at his job and has helped us with booking today’s adventure as well as printing out boarding passes for tomorrow night’s dinner cruise, following our visit to the United Nations, located on the site of the former League of Nations.
    In honor of our dinner snack, it’s a wrap!

    ... hours we had a baguette, then walked 1hr down the mountain back to camp. In the afternoon we went to Chamonix and booked a guided tour for some hiking and mixed climbing up at Aiguille du Midi tomorrow morning. So excited!!     ... go back to basics, lowered it a little in the down tube and released the cable to set it up from scratch. Anyway, when I released the cable, the STI stopped working, it just wasn't gripping the end of the cable properly. After some major fiddling, I saw that the cable end wasn't in the right place in the lever, which could have been the cause of today's problems. We will see if I resolved it when we ride the bike to Arèches tomorrow.

    Anyway, because the boat cruise office was all the way at the other side of the lake, I decided to go and check that out first. They are supposed to have a cruise at 10.30, but I had a sinking feeling that they wouldn't... And they didn't. Office wasn't even open. I didn't have time to stick around for the 12.30 cruise so ...     Why, because apparently all Swiss highways are only two lanes and even though the cities are not large, everyone seems to use them and it congests as there is no where else to go to get around - the "Road by the Lake" is available and it is a beautiful and peaceful drive ...
