    ... version, has only 13k's on the clock when we picked it up. Back to Chamonix and we popped down to watch the Climbing World Cup. We were drinking a beer, sitting in the square and life was pretty grand. Check out the guy hanging on the Zlagboard. This was attracting all the macho-men.     We headed to our new "ski shop" with a Swedish guy (Rob), Scottish Chap (Dave) and an Ozzie! We were all kitted out and I'm particularly fond of my new boots.     ... go back to basics, lowered it a little in the down tube and released the cable to set it up from scratch. Anyway, when I released the cable, the STI stopped working, it just wasn't gripping the end of the cable properly. After some major fiddling, I saw that the cable end wasn't in the right place in the lever, which could have been the cause of today's problems. We will see if I resolved it when we ride the bike to Arèches tomorrow.

    Then we got back to hostel and Sam had lost his entry card :P but luckily they gave us two so we weren't locked out. We were worried about the cost but it turned out they only charged him 4EUR, what a relief!
