    Will write this up as time permits but the highlight for me today was the visit to a little village called Apremont which is very proud of being beautiful and rightly so 20village.html

    ... taking the brunt of commerce, many canals are recreational havens. We saw quite a few boats making their leisurely way through the canals and their locks as we pedaled into the ever-present south wind. Riding those 46 miles was a long slog.
