... See the photo with our laundry on the line on our small terrace. The village we stayed in, St Chely D'Aubrac, is a gem. Very small, one patisserie, a few cafés, and a couple of restaurants. The highlight of dinner was the dessert - a tray with a small creme brûlée, berry tort and apple tort. The different tastes were fantastic. So, the rain came, but we were dry! We set out this morning to find a small museum on the history of life in Cevennes National Park. En route we passed a dairy where Le plat du jour was a tasting plate of 7 cheeses all made on site. They had to be eaten in a certain order - softest to hardest. ... It opens to two small pools of crystal clear water about waist deep. As our daily mission is always to find a supermarket we ventured into Meyrueis (about 5 mins in the car) to find a beautiful town, typically French; old buildings with shutters, a small Main Street with a choice of restaurants, all busy - Scarlett spotted the pizzeria and the decision was made!
