... says it has the biggest medieval chateau in Europe - but funnily we didn't catch sight of it! we then picked up the A84 free motorway from Rennes to Caen, so we sneaked into Brittany as well as Normandy.

... TO is not in the middle of town, and when we did eventually find it, it had moved, to a site even further out and closed at noon.. Guess what time it was by then ? - 12.10pm!

... been restoring this mill since 2006, it is moving at what you might call a Gallic pace. The MG club had already arrived and were sampling the wares of the local brewery on the veranda; we were able to grab a table and more importantly two sunshades outside prepared to enjoy one of the best plat du jours possible.
