Yet another journey to the playgrounds of the rich and the famous on the French Riviera. We jumped into Fifi and hit the highway for the gorgeous town of St Tropez (pronounced San Tropay), now look at the title of today's blog and you will see the poet in me;-) It is approximately just over an hour south of Cannes and I must admit it was nice being back on the road again, giving Fifi a run. There is only one way in and one way out of St Tropez and ...

We befriended a couple of the reps on site so we ended up staying a couple of days longer here ...

On to St Tropez next, which surprised and delighted us both - it really is a little fishing village - but with very big expensive boats in the harbour, and expensive restaurants. We had a drink in one of the cafes while waiting for a torrential thunderstorm to move over The back streets were lovely, and a little crepes shop where we shared a pistachio and almond variety was simply yummy! ( I say shared, Brian had 2 ...

Out on the boat again this afternoon.

There was to be an aerobatics display over St Tropez today to honour our arrival. No, not really. It was the anniversary of the Allied landings in Provence in 1944, so we decided to get out on the bay and watch it from the water.

It was pretty windy and choppy once we got out into open water. There was a fair amount of the Mediterranean ...
