At the end of the gorge we joined the road towards Cannes, which was route Napoleon, orginially created by him as a pass through the mountains...very windy. Our destination for the evening was Grasse where we found a good park overlooking the city lights and our first view of the Med.

... need/want me to be there. rar. and i couldnt get home because no buses were running due to the crazy floods...the fact that there even was school on a day when half the teacher and students couldn't get there...is another story and also belongs on my list of illogical frenchisms...

Well, we are coming to the end of this fabulous trip of a lifetime and I have amassed a collection of interesting Euro car photos. Below is a quiz of 10 cars that need to identified. It is calf thymus gland (throat)...! other than that: translation was clear & the food was good.

The shopping here in Cannes has been spectacular. Dawn has picked up on all the very chic fashions of today's France and has taken the opportunity ...

Hey hey we started to drive! We left Marseille far behind and drove to Monaco. We turn to a wrong way several times but finally arrived to the place.
First stop on our way - Saint Tropez. Beautiful port-town, but too expensive, though there are some wpnderful shops there, especially for swimming suits. As you may know, there is an old but very famous French film shoot here ...

... saw what Saint Tropez was all about, the luxury yacht packed port. The drive back to Nice on the freeway was pretty challenging, freeways are not well lit, I often found myself driving the car straight, hitting a pitch black spot at 100km/h, then quickly realising there was a bend coming up. I relied a lot on the TomTom to know the road pattern and anticipate what was coming because of the lack of visibility.

The trek from Barcelona to Nice was a long one, over ten hours, but the views that we got on the way were well worth it!! The train took us through the southern tips of the Pyrennes and then to the beautiful southern coast of France. ... closed but since the bartender, Vincent, was one of her friends and one of the guys that was meant to join us for the night, we got to drink and stay late. Around 1:30 we went to the discotheque and it was packed and crazy. We danced a LOT and it was so hot!
