... but we quickly got used to it and swam to the middle where there was a rocky area people could stand on. The view from the rocks was incredible! Like nothing I've ever seen before. After about 5 hours at the beach Val and I went out to eat dinner which wasn't that fantastic. My calzone was almost empty and her steak was way overdone. At least the dough of my calzone was delicious and fresh! It's interesting because since I've been in Europe every time ...

... playground for the rich and famous – the clothes, the boats, the food – this port was an unexpected bonus.

Ambling around the town for a few hours, we enjoyed St Tropez although most shops were closed thanks to their midday siesta.

After a wonderful stroll through the streets, we hopped back on our tender. It had been a lovely day in St Tropez.

... a wine tasting which we were invited to join – very enjoyable. The old town is still relatively quiet which we enjoyed. Unfortunately the Spanish Castle which overlooks the town was closed for renovations. St Tropez, interesting to visit but stay somewhere close by, if possible.

... wine tour the next morning that Tom organised for us. Saw everything in the process from the crushing of the grapes, through the fermentation stages and to bottling! Really interesting and their final product is of super quality :) They do manage to sell 1-million bottles a year, so not everyone can be wrong!
