After a really lovely petite dejeuner in the beautiful breakfast room at Hotel Diderot with the biggest selection of home made confiture you have ever seen, we set off under blue skies and the promise of a lovely day. As we had left the Loire a Velo route the previous day to deviate to Chinon we had to make our way back to it via the other side of …

Perfect lunch - I think we will all be cleaning our bodies for a few days after the amazing and food which was never ending. This was the first time macchiato was on the menu so I ordered one. I was rather surprised with what came out - a milky shot of coffee in a tall class filled to the brim with milk froth - with a straw and a long ...

... the town centre. To celebrate the amazing week we all congregated in the hotel sitting room for a sparking wine. This was a wonderful way to celebrate the ride, the friendships and the fun we had all had. Dinner was again amazing. As usual we had a set menu with a choice of 2 or 3 courses. The food was superb (except for the tagliatelle) and the service was impeccable. Some chose a starter and main while others had main and dessert - ...
