... Took train to Lauterbrunnen via Interlaken. Train was overrun with winter recreation enthusiasts hauling their snowboards and skis onto the train.

Train ride was great. Interlaken is sort of a gateway into the alps, and Lauterbrunnen is a small town in the Lauterbrunnen valley. Look at pictures of it, it's insane. Before, Yosemite was the most beautiful landscape I had ever seen. Yosemite has nothing on the bernese oberland. If you took ...

... s Fair enough to say we were a bit precious and only lasted one night there! Next day we went shopping and a look around, and it was nice, they did have an amazing church, but there wasn't really much unless you were a high roller. So yea been there done that, not sure if we will go back. All and all Italy was great, we saw heaps but there is so much more to see! I now have very high pizza and pasta expectations and I don't think nz is going to cut ...

We built a great snowman together too (had to dig under the dirty snow to find ...

... the guides being ADAMANT that we wouldn't veer off the course and hit trees, we did, and often, but it was still amazing and just made it more funny. I guess the sleds aren't meant for 6'2" long-legged skinny white boys because I could not steer for the life of me. Another highlight was that I stopped and got a nice handful of snow to eat. Not many people I know can say that they ate snow in the Swiss Alps so that was pretty cool. All around, it was an amazing experience ...

... have felt pointless. We showered up and at on the enclosed patio for dinner where we could watch the rain. I had a plate of roasted vegetables and Dmitriy had a three course meal of soup, roasted chicken, and lemon sorbet. I ate most of the tomato soup and took one of the chicken legs, to round out my meal. Actually I ate most of the sorbet too. The food was actually quite good and it was nice to just walk upstairs after while the rain raged ...
