    Lunch with an old friend

A travel blog entry by daniel.swiss on Jun 10, 2015

Today I had lunch with an old friend of mine, one of the last people I still know at my first employer. We remembered the "good old days", and we caught up with the kid's stories. I realized that his youngest is now 15; the last time I saw him, he was ...

We just spent the morning wander around checking out the area. Just doing some window shopping. It was nice to just slowly explore the area. It's so beautiful. Walked out in the end. Bill €70. Would have preferred a McDonald's. Aix les Bains very busy but this B & B is lovely. Very old ...

Easy enough. But, this trek was on top of me being the sickest I have been in a very long time. Scratchy throat, uneasy stomach, and unbelievable amounts of congestion began to culminate Thursday night and then continued on through the weekend. Friday was the worst day by far, and ...

... on the Swiss side of Lac Leman, while we were soaking up the sun on the French side. The route today took us directly along the shore of Lac Leman (it turns out the translation of Leman is lake, so it is Lake lake) for quite sometime before turning off to some shops. We then returned to the lake but with a single layer of mansions between us and the lake. The road curved around quite a bit but it was all quiet roads. Why couldn't the other side of the lake have been ...
