... what I had suspected, that I was carrying about 5kg of excess baggage after a month in Italy. Operation boot camp has kicked in with awesome running paths along the river and the crazy prices are well timed so we have just been having 1 meal a day.

Our luck with good weather continued early on with our arrival and first full day having very clear sky and 18 degree max's which by all accounts is unseasonably warm. We spent day ...

The rock is just a tiny blip in it’s path, the river keeps flowing, maybe down a different path than originally intended, but is that really so awful? It gets past it and returns to smooth sailing. Just under a year ago, we made our way out to Lausanne as there was a tour around Lake Geneva. It had started out in the rain with the temperature at 2 and it was tough going, but 175ks later as we made our return, the temperature had changed to a nice 17, with the sun shining. We had done the ride in 6 hours one minute, a fast time but also a little disappointing as it would have been good to crack the magic 6 !!!

So 50 weeks later, we boarded a plane, flew ...

I hadn't seen Lerina Bright since 1993, we met at boarding school in Limuru, Kenya. Even though she was a class ahead of me, we were good friends and I was on the bunk bed on top of her. Neither of our Thomas' understood ( her partner is Thomas too) when we each said we hadn't seen each other for 20 years. But as we both knew that is the bond us Greenacres girls shared after our time there. We could pick up after many years and the bond was still ...
