... wonderful friendly camping. The sun had come out and stayed for the rest of the day, so that was marvelous ! The first castle we wanted to visit was Azay le rideau, absolutely stunning from the outside and which we visited also inside. (Entrance 8 pp). After we had visited it we took it quite slow and we chilled for a bit and sat in the garden with a drink looking on the castle. Than we drove to the next village Langeais where we had a pretty good lunch. Then we had a look at the ...

It is quite unfortunate that I must bear this news but I must inform you that our family mascot, Ling (a 6 inch terracotta warrior figure) has been beheaded. During dinner the other night my dad was pretending to have him get knocked over by the strong fumes of his wine where the poor Chinese statue fell and was decapitated by the tumble. Needless to say, his spirit 'Ling'ers on and we are looking to gluing him ...

... difference at the pool was that men had to wear speedo type bathing suits. If they were wearing typical American swimming trunks, they wouldn't be let in. I haven't been able to figure out why, but that's the norm here. I had a really nice time, and it made me realize how little time we have left. I'm going to miss everyone so much, and hopefully I'll still be able to hang out with everyone once we return to MSU!

... ill miss the most: the Guingette and the Jardin des Prebendes. For those who don't know what these places are, ill explain. The Guingette is the open bar by the Loire river where we always start off at night. Its a pretty big bar, covered in willow trees, with a stage and constant music. It's ALWAYS packed and it is my favorite place in Tours, our first night started there and I'm sure our last night will too. There have been nights of ...
