We got up early today to get to Montpellier to catch our flight to Rome. Peggy (our GPS in the car) took us on a bit of a wild goose chase to find the airport. Luckily we had left with plenty of time and it wasn't too far that we went before we realized that the airport was not that way. It was a short flight and very good one...I was sitting on an outside row away from the widnow seat number 21D....there was a young couple with a young baby sitting with me.....they were natives of Texas but living in Paris, he told me was a computer programmer.

... France again. After our walk we set off again, we had no destination as such in mind apart from head towards Cannes. We didn't get far. We must of only travelled 10k tops before we saw a lake called Lac De Castillon that just invited us in, twice. we dragged ourselves away an hour or so later to carry on, but, we stopped again shortly after to view the biggest Damn we had ever seen, not only was it huge but it looked beautiful to. Next stop La Baux, glad we weren't driving, so steep and narrow as the village is cut out of a cliff, just spectacular. The town is set up for tourists as every shop had souvenir items. Back to the ship for lunch.
Lunch every day is a smorgasboard arrangement in the dining room or you can have sandwiches in the sky ...

So far so good - well blissfully lovely actually!

A very good start to our travels on Thursday 3 April. When we finally managed to get ourselves out of the house, lock the door and get into the car - brief diversion to look at file with tickets and passports again - we were waved and hooted out of the village by some lovely friends. Perhaps they were celebrating our departure rather than wishing us Bon Voyage? To those who had waited for an hour and a half we send our apologies. It never occurred to either of ...
