... to close the ablutions! (And there is still no soap in the dispensers - 3 days now!) So we chose to take a trip out and have lunch. Came across Montoire sur Le Loir. Le Loir is a different river to the Loire. It is smaller. However it was a lovely town, adjoined to another village called Lavardin with medieval castle ruins. The market was on but we didn't buy anything and we had a ...

Well i was warmer last night. I put extra insulation between me and the bed. Lovely morning. Went to Chambord Castle. It is a huge place with lots going on. We walked around the main building but didn't go inside. I don't think we would have appreciated it fully as the tour guides only spoke rapid French. Jeli jsme do Orleans pres Tours (to se nam moc nelibilo, nevideli jsme nic zajimaveho, prestoze jsme ale minuli odbocku na stred mesta). Pak jsme nasli pekne misto s hradem/zamkem (jeden z mnoha podel reky Loir), ktere se jmenuje Amboise a zastavili jsme se ...

    Overnight, Marboue

A travel blog entry by thereays on Jun 07, 2013

Marboue (N48 6.744' E1 19.722'). Another Aire. Toilets and emptying facilities for free, but Electricity and Water are chargeable (Electricity 2Euro for 55 minutes, extortion!). There is space for about ten vans, and, by evening it is full. Not surprising really, it is a very pleasant spot, on the banks of the River Loir and off the busy main road (N10).

It is here, I find, the helpful French people at Uzerche did not do the internet registration ...
